We recruit and retain insightful, motivated employees, who have backgrounds and skills from across the professional spectrum. The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois' internship program helps to increase the public awareness of the NKFI and is designed to give college students or recent graduates an opportunity to complement their formal education with career-related experience.

These internships provide students and recent graduates with stimulating and substantive work experience, coupled with an opportunity to expand their knowledge and understanding of the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois. All work assignments will prove to be beneficial for both the NKFI as well as the students.

Each internship position will have clear job descriptions and a designated staff member from the appropriate department who will serve as the main point of contact.

All internships are unpaid.

When applicable, the NKFI will work with schools to provide course credit. I have now experienced what it is like to live in a city rather than a suburb and it has really helped me delve deeper into my future plans. The idea of life after college is no longer a fantasy but something I am actively planning for and thinking about on a daily basis.
